TP-Link Router Setup using Tether App

Router Setup in Access Point Mode
To configure your TP-Link Wi-Fi router in Access Point (AP) mode, follow these steps:
- Connect to your Router Connect your TP-Link router to your existing modem or gateway using an Ethernet cable. Make sure the router is powered on.
- Access the Router’s Web Interface Open a web browser and enter the router’s IP address (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) in the address bar. This will open the router’s web interface

TP-Link Repeaters are compatible with almost all Router brands and Gateways. Users can login to TP-Link Repeater login GUI page using http://tplinkrepeater.net or 192.168.1.250 address. in case of Apple iOS devices. TP-Link Repeaters can be configured as Mesh Points, so that users can get seamless Wi-Fi at their location.
Setting up your TP-Link Repeater using the Tether Mobile App can be done in a few easy steps. Here’s how you can do it:
- Download the Tether Mobile App: First, download the Tether Mobile App on your mobile device from the App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play Store (for Android devices).
- Connect the Repeater: Plug in your TP-Link Repeater to a power source and wait for it to boot up.
- Launch the TP-Link Tether Mobile App: Open the Tether Mobile App on your mobile device.
- Tap “New Repeater Setup: In the app, tap on the “New Repeater Setup” option.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your mobile device to the Repeater’s Wi-Fi network.

Router Security Settings to WPA-2 Type
To change the Wi-Fi name (SSID) and security to WPA2 on your TP-Link router, follow these steps:
- Access the Router’s Web Interface: Connect to your TP-Link router’s network and open a web browser. Enter the router’s IP address (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) in the address bar.
- Log in to the Router: Enter the router’s admin username and password when prompted.
